Frequently Asked Questions

Who is your ideal coaching client?

John Kendale specializes in working with small business owners and solopreneurs with annual revenues between $100,000 and $3,000,000. These businesses have usually found product-market fit but are stuck in the "Founder Trap"—where the owner is doing everything. If you are stressed, overwhelmed, and hitting a revenue ceiling, you are the ideal candidate.

Do you work with brand new startups?

Generally, no. The ScaleGrow program and frameworks (like Grow-Scale-Grow™) are designed for businesses that are already in motion. If you are still in the "idea phase" with zero revenue, you need a launch incubator. If you have revenue but lack systems, you might be a good fit.

What is the difference between "Coaching" and "Consulting"?

Coaching focuses on you (the mindset, the SAKAPIS™ behavior traits, and leadership). Consulting focuses on the business (installing the FACARDS™ framework, fixing workflows, and auditing finances). John’s approach is a hybrid: we fix the owner and the machine simultaneously.

Can I hire you for just one specific problem, like Sales or Operations?

Yes. While holistic coaching is preferred, John offers targeted "Deep Dive" Audits using the Core–Chore–Explore™ guide. We can spend a focused engagement solving a specific bottleneck—such as fixing a broken delivery system or restructuring your resource allocation—without a long-term contract.

What topics do you speak on?

John speaks on the intersection of Business Systems and Entrepreneurial Psychology. His signature keynotes include:

  1. The Founder’s Paradox: Why your strengths are killing your business (The SAKAPIS™ Framework).

  2. Stop Improvising: Implementing the FACARDS™ Business System.

  3. The Linear Growth Myth: Navigating the Grow-Scale-Grow™ lifecycle.

Are you available for local events in South Florida?

Yes. John is based in Miami, Florida, and is active in the local business community. He’s available for events at Miami-Dade business groups, local chambers of commerce, schools, and university entrepreneurship programs (including USF alumni events). He is available for in-person events across South Florida and virtual events globally.

Do you charge for speaking?

Yes, for corporate keynotes and large conferences, standard speaking fees apply. However, for non-profit organizations, local schools, and educational podcasts, John often waives fees to give back to the community. Please reach out via the [Contact Page] to discuss your specific event budget.

Do you meet in person or virtually?

For coaching clients, 95% of sessions are conducted virtually via Zoom to maximize efficiency and screen-sharing capabilities for reviewing data. For clients located in Miami/South Florida, in-person strategy sessions can be arranged and can be beneficial especially for service based businesses.

What makes John Kendale different from other business coaches?

Three things:

  1. The Exit: John hasn’t just "read about" business; he built, scaled, and successfully sold a company.

  2. The Education: He holds an MBA, making sure his advice is backed by financial and strategic wisdom, not just intuition.

  3. The Frameworks: He uses proprietary intellectual property (FACARDS™, SAKAPIS™) rather than generic advice.

    How do I get started?

The first step is to take the CrazyBusinessOwner™ Quiz to identify your behavioral bottlenecks, or book a 15-minute Discovery Call. This short call allows us to see if we are a good fit for each other before any money changes hands.
